BROTHERHOOD OF CHRISTIAN BUSINESSMEN AND PROFESSIONALS (BCBP)
The BCBP is a Catholic, Christian organization dedicated to evangelization of businessmen and professionals, who are decision makers and change agents in the marketplace and the professions in order to assure more and more that business dealings and practices in the companies where members work are imbued with justice, honesty, and integrity with respect to all stakeholders in the business and to bring about genuine development of our country that will benefit all.

THE BEGINNING
In November 2, 2011, a number of migrant BCBP members, mostly from Cagayan de Oro and Iligan, met with Bro. Louie Morales and Alex Espiritu to start the BCBP Breakfast. The BCBP members were;

THE BREAKFAST

The first BCBP Men’s Breakfast was held in January 14, 2012. A total of (20) twenty men attended, with (10) ten first timers. The sharer was Jimmy Castro from the BCBP Alabang Chapter. The breakfast became a monthly event held every 2nd Saturday of the month, mostly a men’s breakfast. Average attendance is 15 men, with 5 first timers. Only two joint breakfasts were held in 2012.
In 2013, most breakfasts were held as joint breakfast in preparation for the planned BCLP1. Average attendance during the joint breakfasts was 46 individuals – 28 men and 18 women. At present, we the BCBP Breakfast is held every 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday of each month at the Tierras Colombianas Restaurant - 54-08 Roosevelt Ave. Queens Blvd, Woodside, NY 1137.

MISSION ACTIVITIES
The first BCLP was conducted on July 27, 2013. Succeeding BCLPs were conducted yearly. To date 2025 members. BCLP-1 (#13), BCLP-2 (#9), BCLP-3 (#11), BCLP-4 (#10), BCLP-5 (#12), BCLP-6 (#12), BCLP-7 (#7), BCLP- 8 (#12),BCLP-9 (#8), BCLP-10 (#12) and 25 graduates from Philippines.
In 2015 (2) two BCBP Mission sites were open by BCBP NYC – BCBP New Jersey Mission and BCBP Metro Washington DC Mission. Both mission sites hold monthly joint breakfast meetings. Later in October of the same year, during the BCBP MANCOM visit, BCBP NYC Mission was formally elevated as an outreach and the governance team formally installed.

THE MEMBERSHIP
The membership of BCBP NYC Chapter is composed of former BCBP members from various RP chapters who are now residing in New York and the recent BCLP graduates.
THIS IS WHERE IT STARTED
The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals traces its beginnings to the Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon Covenant Community as well as to the community movement and Charismatic Renewal from which it sprang.
In July 1980, 12 men met at the Makati Sports Club in what was to be the first Men’s Breakfast of the soon-to-be Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen & Professionals. The initial breakfast flourished with more and more businessmen and professionals attending. This signaled the start of the first Life in the Spirit Seminar, the forerunner of the present Brotherhood Christian Life Program (BCLP). In a span of two years, the first BCBP chapter was established right from where it all started, Makati. By 1984 the fledgling organization split into two chapters with the boundary being the Pasig River. The North Chapter was based in Greenhills, San Juan, the South Chapter remained based in Makati. With this milestone, the BCBP continued to spread its wings the following years with Alabang, south of Metro Manila, being established, followed by Dagupan up in the northwestern Luzon region in 1986.
There was no stopping the expansion of BCBP after that. Several business hubs in Metro Manila cities and municipalities embraced the BCBP movement. Then in the beginning of 1988, BCBP found its way into the business centers of central Philippines, this time conquering Cebu City, Bacolod City and Puerto Princesa City. Cebu Chapter soon ventured into its neighboring provinces and further down south of the country to open new chapters in Mindanao, with Cagayan de Oro City as its initial take-off point.
To date more than 20,000 strong, have 121 chapters nationwide and 35 outreaches, and an international presence in the USA, Canada, Singapore and other parts of Asia with 7 chapters and 4 outreaches. The Philippine Foundation of The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-stock, non-profit organization. It is fully recognized by the Archdiocese of Manila and in all the Dioceses where it operates nationwide.
The BCBP has the singular distinction of having introduced and sustained the BCBP Christian Men’s Breakfast that has changed the lives of so many businessmen and women and professionals throughout its years of existence. There are more than 120 breakfast venues every week throughout the Philippines where businessmen and women meet for food, fellowship, fun, and inspiration through the life sharing of a fellow Christian. The breakfast is the main entry point into the organization. Members meet in Action Groups, attend Assemblies and other community activities, and participate in the various trainings and formation programs of the community. The BCBP identifies, trains, and develops Christian leaders to become agents for justice and sound development in the work environment. It also conducts workshops, seminars, and retreats as requested by companies, businesses, and government offices, that discuss and present ways by which the Christian businessman or professional can deal with evil in the marketplace.
