​Simbang Gabi is a Filipino term for an evening mass for Christmas celebration. The term was adapted for this prayer- play that started from an inspiration in the summer of 1993with the Filipino community. This is now a parish community, open to all.

Mission

This prayer-play will strengthen our faith as we feel the connection of our present lives from the Old Testament to the New Testament. It will open our hearts to give thanks to the Holy Trinity for all our blessings, especially the gift of life. Itwill instill upon our selves the value of family, community,
and tradition. It will excite the child in us to feel God’s love for all ages and all nations. It will be a tool for everyone, especially the children to focus on the real meaning of Christmas

Vision

This prayer-play transforms the word of God into praying, singing, dancing, acting, reading, giving and serving. It draws community members and visitors together in watching Scriptures come alive. If God is the inspiration of this prayer play; it can be shared to other communities as another form of evangelization.

Dedication

This prayer play is dedicated to the Holy Trinity first and foremost. It also has always been dedicated to the poor children of the world especially to those who are victims of war and terrorism, abuse, abortion, addiction, occult and disease, especially, cancer. It is also dedicated to the hungry, the homeless, the hopeless, and the jobless that we may include these least of our brothers in our prayers. As we receive God’s
blessing, we share it to others that we may connect to the angel’s global message for World Peace.
